INDIANAPOLIS, IN – A hotel robbery has taken place from two locations. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is on the search for suspects after the two hotels reported an armed robbery within an hour apart.
Furthermore, the first hotel reported the robbery just after 1 a.m. located at Hyatt Place. The desk concierge alerted the police explaining that he was robbed at gunpoint.
According to the desk concierge, the three males were fully masked, and one male entered the hotel lobby first, demanding money. He was armed with a rifle.
The robbers ran off with the concierge’s wallet and hotel cash register later found a few blocks down.
Shortly after the first robbery, police received another report from another nearby hotel, Courtyard by Marriott. The desk concierge at the hotel told police three males entered the hotel lobby wearing bandannas.
One of them was holding the rifle, with the same description from the previous robbery. However, the concierge was able to describe the robbers as being in their late teens.
Prior to the robbery before, the three robbers were able to get away with $400 in cash as well as grabbing the concierge’s cellphone and striking it across the floor. However, no injuries have been reported from either of the two hotel robberies.
Hyatt Place Management expressed their concerns about the incident, “Our management and staff are aware of the tragic event that occurred, local police were contacted immediately, and we are working closely to track down the suspects.”
Indianapolis police still cannot confirm whether the three masked individuals were the same suspects as the Hyatt Place robbery. Although they are openly searching for the suspects, the investigation is still ongoing.
