Indianapolis – A woman’s body was found under a mattress in an alley, Northeast Indianapolis on Wednesday. The police officers started to investigate the case after the woman’s body was found. The officers responded to the call received by someone on Wednesday afternoon. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the location 2200 block of Wheeler Street after being reported by unknown person.
When the police arrived at the scene place, they found out a woman lying under a mattress in the alley. The woman’s physical condition made officers believe her body had been lying there at least for a few days.
Police is not rushing into calling the death of the woman a murder. Police do not say anything whether they believe the death is suspicious.
The woman’s case is now identified as a death investigation. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is still investigating the case. The Police Department is asking people who have any information regarding the incident contact IMPD or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-8477.
