Indianapolis, Indiana—-A single-vehicle crash occurred around 1.15 p.m. on I-465 near Mann Road. The car involved in crash was stolen. The driver had run from the scene of incident on foot before Indiana State police arrived.
Indiana State Police and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are looking for Indianapolis man who fled away. When the trooper was investigating the crash occurred on I-465, multiple shots were fired about 50 feet from where the trooper was , from a wooded area, Indiana State Police said.
The northeast corner of Mann Road and I-465 is the target place for investigators. That’s where the perimeter was set. The search is supported by the helicopter.
Police asks residents to stay indoors and call in case of suspicious activity.
The escaped man the police is searching for is identified as Ronald Carson of Indianapolis. He is 6’-2’’ and weighs 170 pounds. The man has several tattoos on his face. Ronald Carson is dangerous. He is considered armed.
According to Indiana State Police the driver could have suffered serious injuries from the crash. He could be bleeding.
