Next Level Jobs Help the Unemployed get Better Jobs
Next Level Jobs is going to help a lot of unemployed people. One of the biggest stories to come out of the COVID-19 pandemic is historic spikes in unemployed workers. Moreover, Indiana is not exempt from this trend. In response, it is hunkering down on a program which is called Next Level Jobs. It helps workers not just recover their jobs, but possibly get even a better one. Indiana is now getting the help of community leaders to reach out to people who could benefit from the program most.
Two Important Grant Programs Available
Next Level Jobs consists of two grant programs. Employer Training Grants offers companies that have costs associated with training existing employees. The other, Workforce Ready Grants, is for “Hoosiers.” Those people who need a certification to get a job in a field. Because they are deemed by the state as being in “high demand.”
This program has existed for more than three years now. Because of massive job losses due to the pandemic, people need programs that connect them to urgent job opportunities more than ever.
Next Level Jobs has a High Success Rating Since its Launch in 2017
Since Next Level Jobs launched in 2017, almost 18,000 people have completed a job certification program. This program makes them eligible for the state’s Workforce Ready Grant. This fall alone, close to 6,000 Hoosiers enrolled in training programs for the first time at Ivy Tech campuses statewide. There they got the state to pay for the fees.
For more information on these temporary programs and expanded criteria contact a Next Level Jobs team member at questions@nextleveljobs.org.
In addition to workforce training, Rapid Recovery for a Better Future is helping Hoosiers take their next step in finding a job. They can also secure emergency aid, childcare support or food assistance. Your next step starts here.
