Jackson County, Indiana –Four teens have been killed in a crash on Saturday night in Jackson County.
The crash happened on State Road 258 in Cortland, Indiana, Jackson County Sheriff’s Department said. The police officers responded to the crash after 11 p.m.
37-year-old Cara Selby, of Seymour, told her vehicle broke down when was only a block away from her home.
Eight juveniles came to help push the car back to the home. Selby’s family had a sleepover for her daughter.
Three of them died at the scene. The identity of three is revealed: Nevaeh Law, 14 ,of Brownstown, 14 –years-old Jenna Helton from Seymour , and 15 –years-old Brittany Watson of Brownstown.
16 –years old Martin Martinez was taken to the hospital by helicopter . Helton and Martinez are of Seymour High School.
Law and Watson are students of Brownstown High School.
15-years old Selby’s daughter ,named Victoria Valdivia, was also taken to Indianapolis hospital with injuries.
The information on the physical condition of three teens taken to the local hospital is not available. According to police officials 12-years old Starlit Watson was riding in the vehicle with Selby. She was also taken to the area medical center to get treatment for injuries.
A vigil was held at Seymour High School to remember the four teens who were killed. It was held on Sunday night.
Police told that no charges are pending at the moment.24-year-old Elizabeth Watson was driving SUV that hit the teens. Police requires more information for further investigation .
